Custom Epoxy Countertops in Gaspésie
Atelier Multidécor designs and builds custom epoxy countertops by hand in our Saint-Siméon-de-Bonaventure workshop. Every surface is one of a kind: colours, inlays, river effects, or ocean-floor depths. We serve the entire Gaspésie region and Bas-Saint-Laurent.

Why choose an epoxy countertop?
Epoxy resin allows visual effects that granite and quartz simply cannot match, while providing a durable, waterproof surface once fully cured.
Durability
Once cured, an epoxy countertop resists impacts, light scratches, and moisture. Its non-porous surface does not harbour bacteria or stains.
Full customisation
Solid colour, marble effect, translucent river, shell inlays, or coin embeddings. epoxy adapts to your vision. No two countertops leave our workshop looking the same.
Depth and 3D effect
Epoxy catches light differently at every hour of the day. The depth effect, typical of river tables and epoxy bar tops, evokes an ocean floor or a forest frozen in time.
Water resistance
Properly applied and sealed, an epoxy countertop resists water splashes and ambient humidity. The final protective coat locks the surface and extends its lifespan.

Our process, from consultation to installation
Consultation
Tell us about your project: countertop size, desired colours, inlays, and context (kitchen, bar, office). We discuss possibilities and technical constraints honestly.
Design and material selection
We select the resin, pigments, substrate (solid wood, treated MDF panel), and inlays together. A colour swatch or sketch can be prepared on request.
Workshop fabrication
All fabrication happens in our Saint-Siméon-de-Bonaventure workshop. Each epoxy pour is monitored, bubbles are eliminated with heat, and each layer is sanded between applications.
Installation and adjustments
We deliver and install your epoxy countertop. Sink and faucet cutouts are made with precision before delivery.
Protective finish
One or two coats of polyurethane varnish or epoxy topcoat seal the surface. You choose matte, satin, or high-gloss.
Frequently asked questions
How long does it take to build an epoxy countertop?
Depending on project complexity and the number of pours required, fabrication generally takes two to four weeks. Projects with inlays or multi-layer effects may need an extra week of curing time.
Is an epoxy countertop heat resistant?
Epoxy resists moderate heat (up to approximately 150 °C depending on the formulation), but we recommend using trivets for pots coming directly off the stove. Intense thermal shock can create whitish marks that are difficult to remove.
Can objects be embedded in an epoxy countertop?
Yes, epoxy works very well with inlays: shells, pebbles, coins, dried flowers, photos under resin, or even pieces of driftwood. We discuss possibilities during the initial consultation.
Does the finish need to be redone after a few years?
A properly maintained epoxy countertop can last many years without retreatment. If surface scratches appear over time, light sanding followed by a new topcoat coat can restore the original lustre.
Do you serve all of Gaspésie?
Yes. Our workshop is in Saint-Siméon-de-Bonaventure, but we deliver and install epoxy countertops throughout Gaspésie (Bonaventure, Carleton-sur-Mer, Chandler, Maria, Percé, New Richmond) and in Bas-Saint-Laurent (Rimouski and surrounding area).
What is the difference between an epoxy bar top and an epoxy kitchen countertop?
The process is identical; the difference is mainly in the use. An epoxy bar top is often thicker and built to withstand heavy wear. An epoxy kitchen countertop emphasises aesthetics and ease of maintenance. We adapt the formulation and finish to the intended use.
