Custom Bathroom Vanities in Gaspésie
Atelier Multidécor designs and builds custom bathroom vanities in Saint-Siméon-de-Bonaventure. Cabinet boxes fitted to your dimensions and plumbing, humidity-resistant melamine and polymer surfaces, solid wood on request. We serve the Baie-des-Chaleurs and, by request, the rest of Gaspésie.

Why a Custom Melamine Vanity?
The bathroom is the most humid room in the house, and its furniture is put to the test. Melamine and polymer offer a uniform surface that handles steam and splashes with no special upkeep.
Humidity Resistance
Melamine surfaces are factory-sealed and need no finish coats. Edges are banded in our workshop, joint by joint. The cabinet handles steam, splashes, and common cleaning products.
Complete Customization
Size, height, number of drawers, integrated or vessel sink, colour and texture of your choice: every vanity is designed around your bathroom, not the other way around. No off-the-shelf unit can adapt to your plumbing layout and space constraints as precisely.
Materials That Last
We use premium melamine panels from trusted suppliers: Uniboard, Olon, Sublime Collection, AGT. Melamine kitchens built by the workshop more than 30 years ago are still in service today. The material holds; it is the style that changes.
Added Property Value
A bathroom with a custom vanity is a selling point in real estate. Buyers recognize the precise fit and the quality of execution at first glance.

Our Process, From Consultation to Installation
Consultation
You describe your bathroom: dimensions, style, sink type, finishes, and budget. We discuss the melamine and polymer finishes on offer, and solid wood if your project calls for it.
Measurements
We take precise measurements of your bathroom, including plumbing and electrical outlet positions. This step ensures a perfect fit and avoids surprises during installation.
Workshop Fabrication
All fabrication happens at our workshop in Saint-Siméon-de-Bonaventure. Panels are CNC-cut to the millimetre, then hand-assembled, edge-banded, and fitted with hardware.
Finishing and Quality Control
Each vanity passes a quality check before leaving the workshop: door and drawer alignment, edge banding, hardware. For solid wood on request, we apply an oil finish suited to the bathroom.
Delivery and Installation
We deliver and install your vanity across the Baie-des-Chaleurs and, by request, elsewhere in Gaspésie. Plumbing cutouts are made in the workshop before delivery to simplify on-site installation.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which materials do you recommend for a bathroom?
Textured melamine and polymer are our most-used materials for vanities: a uniform, humidity-resistant, easy-care surface available in a wide range of colours and textures. Solid wood (white oak, maple, walnut) remains available on request, with an oil finish suited to the bathroom.
How is your vanity better than an IKEA unit?
IKEA furniture consists of prefabricated modules in standard dimensions, designed for quick assembly. Our vanity is custom-made for your space and plumbing, with premium melamine panels and edges banded in our workshop. The cabinet is fitted to the room, not the other way around.
Can you integrate a drop-in or vessel sink?
Yes. We work with both configurations. For a drop-in sink, we cut the opening in our workshop with precision. For a vessel or wall-mounted sink, we adapt the countertop design accordingly. We advise you on the best sink type for your style and plumbing.
How long does it take to build a custom vanity?
Fabrication takes an average of two to four weeks depending on project complexity. Projects with multiple drawers, integrated storage, or special finishes may take a bit longer. We give you a precise timeline at the consultation.
Do you serve all of Gaspésie?
Yes. Our workshop is in Saint-Siméon-de-Bonaventure. We deliver and install vanities across the Baie-des-Chaleurs (Bonaventure, New Carlisle, Paspébiac, New Richmond, Maria, Carleton-sur-Mer). Elsewhere in Gaspésie, and in Rimouski for larger projects, we work by request.
How do you maintain a melamine vanity?
Simple maintenance is all it takes: wipe splashes after use and clean with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid abrasive pads. The surface needs no sealant and no sanding: it keeps its original finish for years.
