Cabinetmaker in the Gaspé: custom cabinets and furniture
Atelier Multidécor is a cabinetmaker in Saint-Siméon-de-Bonaventure, on the Baie-des-Chaleurs. We build kitchens, vanities, built-in storage and commercial furniture, from plans to delivery.

What a cabinetmaker does
A cabinetmaker designs and builds cabinets and furniture in their own shop. Here, panels are cut on a 4x8 CNC and finished by hand. The Saint-Siméon-de-Bonaventure shop, founded in 1994, is run by Félix Gagné.
A cabinetmaker differs from a carpenter and from a kitchen retailer in what gets built and where. Read our explanation of the difference.

See the detailsWhat we do not do
A cabinet shop builds furniture. These jobs are not part of our work.
- Interior design. We design your cabinets on plans, not the full layout of the room.
- Plumbing. Your plumber connects the sink and the faucet.
- Electrical work. Your electrician installs lights and outlets.
- Flooring.
- Repairing or reworking existing cabinets. We build new, cabinet box included.
- Catalogue modules. We do not sell prefabricated modules: every cabinet box is cut to your dimensions.
For those jobs, your contractor or tradespeople take over. We work from their plans.

Frequently asked questions
Which towns does the cabinetmaker serve?
Full service covers the Baie-des-Chaleurs. Elsewhere in the Gaspé, we look at each project case by case. In Rimouski, we work on request for large projects.
Can you build from my architect's or contractor's plans?
Yes. We build from your plans. Without plans, we draw the project from the room's measurements.
Do you install the cabinets?
We install residential projects. For commercial furniture, we build and deliver, and your contractor installs. Where we do not install, we provide self-installation directions.
What materials do you use?
Textured melamine makes up most of our projects: a uniform, resistant surface that is easy to clean, in a wide range of colours and textures. Our panels come from Uniboard, Olon, Sublime Collection and AGT. Solid wood and epoxy are available on request.
